Robert Porter Construction completed structural repairs to the five level parking garage at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. Work included:
- Expansion joint replacement
- Shoring
- Traffic flow management
- Various concrete patching
- Spall repairs
In order to perform the repairs, one half of the parking lot structure needed to remain active while repairs were made on the other side. A work plan to close off one half of the parking structure was carefully designed with consideration to hospital operations and safety of hospital visitors and staff. Pedestrian and auto traffic flow plans were created by our team along with hospital facility management. Access to and from the hospital was maintained during the entire construction phase. Due to a detailed project and workforce schedule our team was able to to fast track the repairs and complete the project three weeks ahead of schedule.
