Our talented structural repair team was hired as a specialty subcontractor and devised this solution. How to swap out a roof truss with a 43 foot glulam beam (GLB) inside of a school cafeteria with no access to interior space? Easy….. Saw cut through an exterior masonry wall with just enough room to slip the crane hoisted GLB through the wall. Then support the existing roof system with shoring posts allowing for the GLB to slide in place of the truss. Here’s a snapshot of the strategic work that Robert Porter Construction recently performed at a local Phoenix elementary school. Please consider us for your next complex structural repair project.
